USA-Made Filament
Built for the Classroom.
We work with K–12 schools, universities, makerspaces, robotics teams, and CTE programs that need reliable supply, predictable pricing, and a manufacturing partner students can actually visit.

A Real Manufacturing Partner — Not Just a Vendor.
Most filament reaches a classroom through three or four hands: an overseas factory, an importer, a distributor, and finally the school's purchasing system. That chain is fragile. It breaks down at exactly the wrong times — mid-semester, when a robotics deadline is approaching, when a grant-funded printer just arrived and the curriculum is waiting on material.
Forgely is different. We extrude, spool, label, and ship from our facility in Ogden, Utah. There is no importer between us and your school. When you call, you reach the same people who run the production line. When something goes wrong, we own it — no "blame the supplier" loop, no RMA paperwork for a defective spool.
That single-source accountability is the foundation of how we work with educators. The pricing, the partnership programs, and the customization options below all flow from the same fact: we control the line, we control the schedule, and we can prioritize education orders when other suppliers can't.
Built for Schools and Programs.
Education-Tier Pricing
15–30% off retail with transparent volume bands. No surprise mid-school-year increases — predictable pricing schools can budget against year-over-year. The savings scale automatically with classroom and district orders.
PO-Friendly Procurement
Standard Net 30 terms, with longer terms available for districts on request. Tax-exempt processing built in. Consolidated billing for multi-school districts. We'll do the paperwork to get on your state's approved supplier list.
No Mid-Semester Stockouts
Domestic shipping in 2–4 days, not 2–4 weeks. Education orders are prioritized against our own production schedule, so a robotics team or a CTE class isn't competing with a print farm for the last spool of school-color blue.
Custom School-Branded Spools
School colors, district branding, mascot palettes — and optional 'Property of [School]' labeling that significantly reduces shrinkage. Branded spools also turn into a small but real source of pride for the program.
Pre-Tested Print Profiles
Recommended slicer settings tested on the printers actually in classrooms: Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, and Makerbot. A teacher (or a substitute) can load a spool and print — without spending an hour calibrating temperatures.
Classroom-Safe & SDS-Ready
Low-VOC PLA from non-toxic, plant-based base materials. Safety Data Sheets are provided for facilities approval — required by most districts before new materials enter a building. Easy parent and admin sell.
Classroom-Sized SKUs
2.5 kg and 5 kg economy spools sized for classroom and makerspace consumption — not 1 kg hobbyist packs. Lower per-print cost, fewer spool changes mid-class, less waste from partial rolls.
Defective-Spool Replacement
If a spool prints poorly, we ship a new one. No RMA paperwork, no product-return runaround. Teachers get back to teaching, the lab gets back to printing, and the cause gets tracked at our end where the data actually helps.
The Forgely EDU Partnership Program.
Beyond materials, we work with programs as a long-term partner — providing the kind of industry connection that's hard to manufacture from a syllabus. Most of these are free for active education accounts; a few (like custom-branded spools or large robotics sponsorships) scale with program size.
If you're standing up a new program, applying for a grant, or trying to give a maker space a real-world story to tell, talk to us. If it's useful to your program, we'll co-author funding announcements, supply open-house and STEM-night events, or put engineers and operators from our own line on a classroom Zoom — just ask.
- Virtual factory tours — live-streamed walkthroughs of extrusion, QC, and packaging
- In-person field trips at our Ogden, Utah facility for regional schools
- Guest speakers — engineers, operators, and founders available for classroom Zooms
- Internship and co-op pathway for juniors, seniors, and recent graduates
- Robotics sponsorship for FIRST, VEX, BEST, SkillsUSA, and TSA teams
- Forgely Design Challenge — student contest with cash prizes, launching for the upcoming school year
- Maker showcase support for school open houses, STEM nights, and district fairs
- Industry partner schools can name in grant applications and press releases
Programs We Work With.
CTE & Engineering Pathways
Career and Technical Education programs running engineering, manufacturing, or design tracks. Forgely is a real working factory — not a marketing line — which makes us a credible industry partner for pathway programs that need authentic exposure to manufacturing careers.
Robotics Teams
FIRST, VEX, BEST, SkillsUSA, and TSA teams need color-matched bulk during build season and predictable lead times when a regional is two weeks out. We back a limited number of robotics teams each season with material sponsorship — apply with your program, build budget, and what visibility you can offer. Outside of sponsorship, all FIRST, VEX, BEST, SkillsUSA, and TSA teams get education pricing on bulk orders.
Universities & Trade Schools
MechE, materials science, industrial design, and architecture studios that need consistent material across multi-section courses and graduate research. Roll-to-roll consistency means student work is graded against the print, not against the spool.
Makerspaces & Libraries
Public-access makerspaces and library 3D printing programs that need teacher-friendly packaging, color-coded spools, and material that prints reliably for casual users. Our pre-tested profiles cover the printers most commonly stocked in these settings.
Charter, Private & Christian Schools
Independent schools tend to value mission alignment in their suppliers. Forgely is a stewardship-minded, US-manufacturing investment — long-term thinking, not quarterly extraction. For programs where that matters, we lean into it.
District-Level Procurement
When a district is buying for ten or fifty schools, the conversation shifts from per-spool pricing to multi-year contracts, consolidated billing, and stocking agreements. We'll work with central office on the procurement side and with individual teachers on the classroom side.
Students See What They’re Learning To Do.
One of the underrated reasons schools partner with us is that we exist as a working factory. Not a website, not a sales front — a building in Ogden, Utah where filament is extruded, spooled, QC-tested, and packed for shipping. Students see the line, ask the engineers questions, and understand what "manufacturing" actually looks like in 2026.
That's a different kind of education product than a curriculum binder. It connects the work students are doing on a classroom printer to a real downstream career — manufacturing operations, mechanical engineering, materials science, industrial design, supply chain. We can't manufacture that connection; we can only invite people in.
- Live-streamed factory tours visible from any classroom
- Regional in-person field trip hosting
- Career pathway exposure: manufacturing, mechE, materials, supply chain
- Internship pipeline for older students and recent graduates
- Student advisory program — feedback from classrooms shapes our SKUs
- "Made in America" supply-chain literacy as a real CTE topic
