Failures.
Most failed prints aren't your printer's fault. A bad spool can fake every problem on this list — so the first job is removing variables. These are the field-tested checklists we use ourselves.

Common Print Failures & Fixes
Why is my PLA stringing?
Almost always moisture, retraction, or temperature. Here is the order to check them.
Why isn't my first layer sticking?
Bed level, bed clean, bed hot — in that order. The answer is almost never the filament.
Why are my layers separating?
Under-extrusion or over-cooling. Both are fixable in five minutes if you know which one.
Why does my PLA warp?
PLA should not warp much. If it is, three things to check before blaming the spool.
Why is my filament brittle or snapping in the spool?
Either it absorbed moisture, or it was stored hot and humid. Both have fixes.
Why are there blobs or zits on my outer wall?
Pressure advance is the usual culprit. Here is where to start your tune.
Why is my print under-extruding?
The filament is the last suspect, not the first. Work the list in this order.
My print failed and I think it was the spool. What now?
Send us the lot number and a photo. We replace bad spools and feed the data back to QC.
